How to prepare for etea????

Most of my juniorz were texting me for guidance regarding ETEA exam.I am going to share my experience with you people and will try to give you some instructionz and tips that might prove fruitful for ur coming test.........IA

Two things deciding our future as a doctor

1. Fsc
2.ETEA

Both fsc and etea are of equal importance coz both comprise of 50 50% of main etea criterion.

1.Fsc:

For fsc you have to study well to get admission in one of the top clgz and then you have to study well and good during your ist year and 2nd year so that you may score well from your concerned board.......for that you have to go for good notes and other helping materials and..... information regarding these you may get from your topperz collegues ....

2. ETEA

Look ETEA is most trending competitive exam for coming youth and modren generation and approx 44k students applied for ETEA 2k19....and you better know how population ascends day by day..... I don,t know next year how many students are going to give this ETEA test..........
So you should have to prepare yourself in such manner that you not only pass this test but also catch one of the few seats in medical colleges..........

Overview of ETEA test 2k19

Ist we shall talk about difficulty lvl of main ETEA . Look this year test was good not so much difficult It was easy......you already know that mojority portion of the test comprise of biology .......
1.Biology this year was too easy ...in a sense that it covered whole book contents but believe me it doesn,t gurantee that nxt yr also etea is going to gave simple mcqs for biology....they are completely free whether they prepare test easy, hard or very tough.......
2.chemistry portion of test this year was of prime imp and whole merit is because of that because there were a lot of tricky mcqs in chem.....
3.physics was average like you see 50 /50% easy and hard+numerical both type of mcqs you can see there...
4.English portion was a bit tough like not covering whole concepts but just grammatical mcqs of tenses usage +vocabulary+narration and voices. Very little touch was given to articles and preposition etc........

Removing worry about difficulty lvl of next coming ETEA

What ever difficulty level may be of ETEA we,ll prepare ourselves for hard things so easy and simple things would get covered by themselves.....I hope you got my point.....

How to study for ETEA ?

Look ETEA is such a competitive exam that it needs study constantly and consistently till start of your ist year then 2nd yr and then after 2nd year examz you have to study hard at that time coz this is the most imp time in sense of ETEA preparation........it doesn,t mean to discourage such students who have not studied well during their ist yr or 2nd yr or during their whole fsc and are now repeaterz unfortunately by this .....they can also clear etea but now they have to study hard by not wasting their precious time.......
First I,ll write something about my own experience by adding some directions given by my seniors kmcite especially umair hayat bhai, waleed zeb bhai and mujahid ali khan bhai (in kims) .........

Most imp point regarding etea i.e

( CONCEPTUAL STUDY )

By having admission in your choosen clg the most prime purpose is to clarify the concepts of all the topics given in your books.... If you think that you have got good teacherz and your concepts are developing It,s good otherwise you have to go forward to join tution classes for getting concepts......
I was in Islamia college peshawer and had got good teacherz but to accomplish and achieve good concepts I also go for tution classes, It is not necessary to join but getting good teacherz in acadmy will make you shine like a star in comparision of those who don,t go for acadmies and will help you to learn things deeply..... For that you should have to join diff teacherz in diff acadmies coz it is not necessary that all the best teacherz should be present in one acadmy........
I,ll also try to contact other topperz and by getting their views I,ll try to add in this article

ONLY KP BOOKS STUDY

Put one thing in your mind that just stay connected to your own six books of kp... but you have to study them in a way that your concepts seems to be clear and you know each and every thing well ...coz each and every thing is going to come from kp books.......don,t ever go for stuff like federal books etc...that will just ruin your precious time......... some students go to study indian books believe me I haven,t seen any indian book yet...........just to clarify some topics you may make use of federal books but it is not necessary to use it......

Joining ETEA coaching classes

Look buddies uptill now as I have seen only genius students does not join etea classes and remaining all students go for classes.I have also seen some collegues who copied etea notes from their friendz and decided not to take etea coaching but I myself go for etea coaching classes and also copied and use notes and tricks of other teacherz regarding etea preparation actually There you get polished and get tricks and your concepts get over hauled by getting new info....
The choice is yours that you join acadmy or not and which acadmy you joins........????
But plz try for best so that you get more fruit in less effort........

An interesting experience

I have got one more interesting experience during fsc was that usually or almost all students go for etea coaching classes after fsc examz but I go for some better experience was that after my ist year exam I go for etea coaching classes to have an overwiew of study regarding main etea it was very fruitful in a sence that I came to know how one should study for etea then 2nd year etea coaching classes I do them before preps of 2nd year exam It was fruitful in a sence that after my fsc examz I have had got a lot of time for my self study........

Now I,ll throw some light on subjects one by one.........

Biology

Biology covers majority portion of our etea test so our top most priority regarding study is biology...biological study is mostly releated to our memory so anyone having good memory is good and will find things easy for him......

• Learning things by heart

Ist of all you have to memorize all the things whether imp or not coz etea does not know that things are important or not but believe me now etea has got a trend that the things which we skip and looks unimportant etea likes those topics and chapterz the more.......

• Memorizing critical points

Look each topic is having some important crucial points you should have to look for those points I am giving you an example like see here is a topic in ist yr bio chap ist ribosomes now there are some things you have to memorize like its discovery, size, composition, units to combine,units sizes, diff sizes of units in prokaryotes and eukaryotes,which ion is used to combine units and importance of ribosomes inside cell.......etc
Each and every topic contains such imp points so plz go through these points and try to memorize all these....

• Diagrams and tid bits(do you know?)

There are some information given place to place in books ......these informations are the most important...try to learn all these...... the diagrams given inside topics are also containing important data like I,ll give example that other name of dryopteris is aspidium given in chapter 8 ist year biology below diagram similarly cystic fibrosis is autosomal resessive point mutational disorder..you would know it only from diagram given in development and aging chapter

• Summary of biology course

In comparision of both ist yr and 2nd yr course .. ist yr course is a bit tough you have to study it hard and to revise it many times ..2nd yr zoology is not that much tough......

Conceptual and hard chapterz

Ist yr bio chapter 2,4,8,9,10,12 these chapterz are hard and tough....do study it constantly and consistently......learn all the things in these chapterz...2nd yr zoology including chapter development and aging,inheritance,DNA and chromosomes and biotechnology... these are some imp and conceptual chapterz...look other chapterz are also important but you know that include mostly ratta like stuff so just memorize(ratta )it...........

• Mcqs practice for biology

I practised mcqs for biology but not that much as for other subjects...I got instructions from my senior umair hayat bhai(kmcite) He told me not to practise even single mcq for biology except past paperz... I agree with his suggestion 100% but you can also practice mcq for biology included in diff mcqs books.....so the conclusion is that practice all bio mcqs included in PAST PAPERZ you will get an idea that how mcqs comes in main etea....

CHEMISTRY

Chemistry has got dual faces ..ist yr chem is conceptual 2nd yr chem is ratta only...... do prepare your ist yr chem conceptually including 2nd yr chap 13 and topics of chapter 14 like coordination complexes etc and analytical chem chap 24.......

• Ist year chemistry:

Ist chap get covered by this simple rule of ratio and proportion i.e if one pen is bought in 5 ruppes then 5 pens would be bought in how many ruppes???
Just remember this one rule and relate conversion factorz......
Most favourite chap of etea are chapter 7 chemical equilibrium....chapter 10, chap 12 oxidation states topic etc...

• Most favourite topics of ETEA

Quantum numberz, vbt, mot, vsepr theories, gas laws, lechatlier principle, acidity,basisity trends, ph,poh, theories about rxn rate, concentration units, colligative properties, colloids properties, enthalpies. Oxidation states, oxidation+reduction potential.....etc.....

• Conceptual and imp chapterz

Over all chap 2,3,7,8,10,11 and 12 all are imp + conceptual ...remaining chap are also to be studied but those are mostly related to be learnt by heart and contains easy contents.........

• 2ND YEAR CHEMISTRY

Conceptual topics are from chap 13, 14, 16 and 24.....
Remaining whole 2nd year chemistry is tasha ratta ......

• Tips for inorganic ist two chapterz

Let yourselves be taught from good teacherz coz there are crucial concepts in these chapterz....do find trends of things like ionization energy, acidity,basisity, atomic radii, electonegativity...and many more things like that....it,ll help you a lot.........

• Tips for organic chemistry

Ist of all try to learn which compound is going to do which rxn and why...en list all the compounds along with their rxnz ...eg all unsaturated will undergo addition etc.... alkanes: non polar so free radical rxns and saturated so only substitution rxnz so alkanes undergo radical substitution rxnz ....alkenes: unsaturated and electron rich having pi bond so will undergo electrophillic addition rxnz........ these are conceptual and also rules must be understood like markonikove,s rule.....etc detection tests must be learnt coz they are important.......
remaining whole organic chem is ratta.....just memorize it..........

Mcqs practice of chemistry.....

You have to practice mcqs of chemistry in order to get good command over tricky mcqs and clarify your concepts.............. for that there are so many books but I would recommend just two books 1.Islamian series by ZaidUllah sir and 2. Champion series by sir Yousaf ktk junior........along with that moin past paperz are of prime importance..... solve each and every mcq of past paperz and other books you can also use books like ica, mm mcq book etc whatever you want to use.....IA will prove helpful for you.....................

PHYSICS

PHYSICS ccomprise of 2nd least share in etea test...ie 40 questions....... but it is totally diff in a sense like if you see ist yr phy book just comprise of little information when you give an eye to practice mcqs there you see totally diff stuff.....so

• Ist year physics

Is needed to be lerant from good teacher who will gave you all relavent and imp info needed.....
....ist yr phy isnot that much hard but lil conceptual.....

FOCUSING ON LECTURES

As books are containing less contents especially ist yr so you have to go for clg or tution lectures that will help you develop your concepts.........plz more focus on those lectures in order to get more things.........
• Conceptual chapterz
Chap 2, 3, 7,8,9,10..... these include most imp topics........
Other chapterz are also imp but they are easy......
• Making formulae sheets
Try to make formulae sheets of each and every chapter it,ll help you during quick revision.........most of the concepts and formulae you will get after practicing mcqs especially chapterz like vectorz, oscillationz, current electricity and nuclear phy etc.............
• 2nd year physics:
Not too much hard as ist yr , mostly things are to be memorized........ make similar formulae sheets ....if there is need to go for deep concepts then do that otherwise just focus on your own book.........
Conceptual chapterz....
Chapter 11,12,15,18,20..... these chapterz include crucial concepts ...remaining chapterz are easy having easy stuff.......
Try to memorize and learn rules like left and ri8 hand rules, laws like faraday, lenz,s...etc coz they are important......

Mcqs practice of physics

Do practice more and more mcqs for physics......It,ll make you able to handle tricky q's.......
Most recommended book is Genius series by sir Tayyab.... +past paperz mcqs, you are free to go for other mcqs books and get better concepts and enjoy beauty of the mcqs choice will be yours.............

What about ENGLISH......

English shares the least in etea but during merit forming it is of prime importance..........
Most of the students thinks not to study for english and just ignore it.......this is not fair...if you want to score well ....english will help you to get..............
How to study english??
Don,t go for extra and irrelavent stuff just study things given in syllabus...like NARRATIONS, VOICES, TENSES USAGE, PREPOSITIONS, ARTICLES and NOUN PRONOUN AGGREMENTS etc......all mcqs are going to come from these topics.......IA.....

Mcqs practice of English
Just practice past paperz mcqs many times......... a lil bit you can also practice mcqs from other books ..but just past paprz ara also enough...........

Practice TESTS

I started giving practice tests till start of our ist yr ....It proved very helpful.....I continued giving tests during 2nd yr also and then after our 2nd yr examz...there was hardly any saturday or sunday passed at which I didn,t gave any test......you can know it from this that after 2nd yr exam I had given approx 33+ practice tests just in the time between main etea and fsc bord exam...and during ist yr and 2nd yr tests given by me were also in large number It is quite big number but every student is having own mind set up regarding etea preparation...it is not necessaryvto gave more practice tests but it is necessary to gave tests.....sukur AlhumdUllah my result remained best in these tests....I gave approx 8 to 9 engeecon tests in all I remained in top 5...but top only one of these that was grand test 2 just before etea....3 to 4 times I remained at 2nd position......I had also given mm acadmy practice tests and by the grace of almighty Allah topped there 6 to 7 times.....also gave qca tests and topped 2 times there...but the most imp practice tests are of mm for a new etea student..as you get good in your etea preparation then step forward to engeecon coz it,s difficulty lvl is lil greater ...mm acadmy tries to gave each and every mcq new...but in engeecon you would see there some previous tests imp mcqs as well as some federal course mcqs............so just keep mm+engeecon tests at your top priority.......and one more thing discussion class is like mini etea acadmy...whenever you gave etea practice test do take discussion class always...In my view even discussion class is more imp than test...........
Plz don,t give test just to get marks and you become happy when you preceed your frndz and fellows in rank.........plz go there to learn some thing.....during test don,t discuss things and never try to cheat......plz don,t decieve your parents by telling them wrong results I know truth is bitter ...It is not the thing to top the test but the thing which matters is to clarify your concepts and to learn something.........

• practice test make you able
1. To examine your progress in study
2. To deal your anxiety while doing test
3. To practice more and more as you know that practice makes a man perfect
4. As you take discussion class you gain new concepts.......
After test just focus on your weak topics and try to remove your deficiency......don,t repeat same mistake many times......

Best time to study....

Always try to study diff subjects daily....some students cover and study single subject daily...it,s quite boring.......do give time to each and every subject in your time table...as you came to know that I can,t digest further just stop there and open new book.......this will remove your boring feelings.....try to study bio early in the morning b/c early in the morning mind is fresh.........do study english also daily......time best to study english is after asar prayer till sunset......try to sleep early and get up early.........to improve your memory skill recite THE HOLY QURAN Daily.....perform your daily 5 prayers and protect your eyes of seeing bad things..........

Mcqs practice methodology...

Note:this method is for every subject...
Ist of all try to learn whole chapter from lectures...then give a quick revision to that chapter in your etea notes if any. otherwise leave it after that open book and give a read to that chapter...after that learn all key points given at the end then try to solve exercise mcqs after that try to solve exercise and then take past paperz and solve mcqs of that chapter and then solve mcqs of the recommended books then if there are such mcqs which you can,t solve...encircle all and go to teacher and ask him to solve it for you........ after that you can proceed to your new chapter.....and repeat the same method all the times......
